SEARCHING FOR THE PERFECT WEDDING DRESS FOR THE BUDGET BRIDE

Looking and finding that the perfect wedding gown is harder than you think when you first get your engagement ring. You have imagined the perfect dress and flipped through magazines, bookmark pages online too.  You want to feel like a princess and look like a queen.  Now you have to think of the budget.  What's a girl to do?

If you are a budget girl first, then when you visit stores in person or online start with the highest price you are willing to spend and look at those dresses and cheaper.  Don't be tempted to look at the more expensive ones.  This way you can achieve both the price and beauty.

Remember to factor in alterations when you figure the price for your dress.  Try to get estimates if you are trying on dresses locally.  Even check the rates that are charged at dry cleaners or independent alteration shops.  Be sure to get details on what the charges include.

Another thing to think of is the stream pressing of the gown.  Most bridal shops perform this to get the wrinkles out of the dress after the alterations.  Some bridal shops charge for this while others include it in with other services or the purchase of the dress.

Be sure that if the sales person is showing you dresses that you have previously looked at dresses online or in the store first at that price point.  Some gown shops will have the sales person bring you dresses at a higher price point while you are trying on the dresses in the dressing room to up sell you.

We hope these tips help your wedding day budget and help you stay on track while finding the perfect wedding dress.

Top Tips to Save on Wedding Accessories for the Budget Savvy Bride

The #1 tip is plan early - as you begin to shop around write down prices.

Tip #2 shop early - By shopping early before the rush you can not only get the item you want but can still find the deals to save.  Shopping early can also help avoid the item becoming out of stock during the busy season. The busy wedding season is typically late February to late October.

Tip #3 if buying seasonal items - Buy these items at the end of the season when they go on clearance or on discount at your local craft stores.  If shopping for wedding favors or accessories online find the sales in the off season and buy.  The closer the season is for the item along with your wedding date the more of a chance that the item may sell out.
