Wedding Day Timeline

The Wedding Timeline is the key to the success for your wedding day.  Getting this right with all your vendors will help relieve the stress you feel during the entire day.  Making sure that you do the rehearsal dinner too will make your bridal party feel better at ease with what their responsibilities are during each phase of the event.

When you get engaged you begin planning of all the things you want but as the planning process continues you realize that time is what you need more of on every expect, that 6 months or even 9 months has gone by way to fast. You’ll question why your vendor needed those timelines so early.  Eventually you’ll understand that your vendors for the most part will want to make you happy and do the best job they can for you, but they expect you for their answers on that timeline question, you’re the bride, it’s your day.  While you may have no idea where to begin and decide to make up the timeline a few months out or even a week or two from your wedding day and not discuss it in detail or go off one vendor such as the caterer to get it done, they are only vendor for the day and throwing a timeline together will get you more questions than answers from the vendors.

The timeline details should begin with a rough draft when you meet each vendor and interview them.  While you may not use the vendor they may have good notes or details that can make your day easier regarding the flow of the wedding day.  Many vendors understand that you have never done a wedding, some will guide and give you tips you just need to ask them.  Dreamland Wedding Shoppe is here to help; we will be featuring timeline tips for each type of vendor, from hair to food to the get-a-way transportation, so check back as we help you build your wedding day timeline.
